"There is an entire generation that will grow up taking for granted that the highest office in the land is filled by an African American," Obama said in an interview last week with The Washington Post. "I mean, that's a radical thing. It changes how black children look at themselves. It also changes how white children look at black children. And I wouldn't underestimate the force of that."

It turns out I had truly misunderestimated Obama's messianic complex. He believes all white children are racist but his ascendancy to the presidency will completely remove all traces of racism from their hearts. I am almost incredulous.
But sadly, a day after MLK day, MLK's dream will be violated as we inaugurate a man based on the color of his skin and completely ignoring his empty résumé and empty character. The voters looked at his friendship w/ Rezko & Ayers & his membership in Wright's church. They looked at his lack of executive experience (governorship) & the fact that he'd been in the Senate 2 years, all of which time he spent running for the presidency. They didn't care. So it won't matter what screwups he makes in the next 4 years; they won't care & will reelect. Surely after that they'll elect the Hildebeest. After that we'll need to elect presidents from every known ethnicity & gender (L,G,B,T,Q,etc.) & various combinations thereof as well -- based solely on those criteria, not on their experience. Welcome to the age of advertizing & hype, when skills & ability don't matter. All you need is a good PR team.
